After a quick break from this morning’s outing, we went to ECOLA state park. Nilenka told us the scenery from there is amazing. Yes, it was amazing. It was a clear day at ECOLA Point; we could see way pass Haystack Rock in the south. And walking along the lookout point, we saw Indian Beach (another great find, I will explain later). Can you see the Tillamook Rock Lighthouse out in the middle of the ocean?
The two little hikers still carried their wood sticks (yes, they were quite attached to them, not sure why). They had full energy to run around and even did a few tumbling on the flower blooming grass fields. I wanted to practice a bit of outdoor shooting on the grass. I asked the Chow family to lie down in a circle, with their heads touching each other, on the grass field. Everyone except Makayla was willing to participate. She on the other hands wanted to lie down, away from the group. Then she decided she wanted to roll down the hill. Well, of course Caden had to follow, so my well laid plan quickly dissipated.
Anyway, here are lots of good pictures.
