Now it has been a while since I visit Houston in the summer. The humidity first hit me as I stepped out of the airplane. While waiting for the rental car shuttle, my skin quickly rejuvenated itself from the outside humidity. No lotion needed here. Once again, I am thankful for the invention of air condition.
I met up with the girls for dinner at my favorite Greek restaurant in Houston. It is called Niko Niko's. I ordered the Dolmathes (meat & rice wrapped in grape leaves) with lemon sauce. I can just eat that all day! And then follow up with the deep fried balls soaked with honey. It had to be shared; otherwise, the guilt…but oh, so good.

The conversation was fun and the companies were great, so the dinner ran late into the night. And the bugs came out… I have evidence to show, not pretty.
I have forgotten how uncomfortable it could be to coexist with bugs and mosquitoes. This is an indicator of how long I have lived in California. California is so dry during the summer that it is difficult for the mosquitoes to survive. When the rain comes in the winter time, it is a bit cold. So just perfect for me!
