I finally got the first batch of invitations out the door on Sunday. Deadline really motivated me. Gosh, I am so goal oriented, sometimes, I am scaring myself. Since each invitation is handmade (by me) and very limited in quantity, both Tom and I agree that for now, we won’t be sending them to family members as we already got confirmation that they will be coming. The second batch is mostly Tom’s guests since he hasn’t figured out that he needed to get me the mailing address for the invites before last weekend!!! Apparently, it didn’t click??? I am learning that I need to spell it out clearly…Do I already sound like I am married!
Anyway, for the record, this is what it looks like. For posting here, I erased the last name and the wedding date for online security purpose. The transparancy overlay is by Hambly Studio, it is called Brocade in silver color. The reddish background paper is by Bazzill, the name is High Heels, it sparks if you look at it closely. On top of the High Heels is a piece of silver edge cream ribbon. The top most ribbon is the red leaves I found at a local scrapbook store. The card holders and papers are by "Yours Truly". I got those from Archiver's. The color selection is Metallics Opal.
By the way, I am uncertain on the proper etiquette. I am just going to do what I think is logical. Since this is an intimate wedding & gathering of mostly family members, I will be sending out wedding announcements after the wedding to friends and family who are not able to attend the celebration. Of course, I will be making those too.
