What Animal Do You Identified With?

We finally arrived at the San Diego zoo, after the brief detour at the Cabrillo National Monument. It was our first time visiting this zoo. The tickets Brenda gave us were good for everything. Of course, I didn’t read it carefully. So we didn’t do the bus tour. We walked ourselves. On the other hand, it may be a good thing for us to get some physical activity in!!!

It was great fun looking at the animals. We laughed of their behaviors. Our first sighting was a pair of monkeys matting out right in front of us. Well, there were other people there too. A mom quickly put her hands up to cover the kids’ eyes and walked away. Oh, well, what do you expect? We are at a zoo!!!

Then there are the gorillas with the baby. The mommy was making us laugh as she picked her nose, her ears, her whatever, and stuck it back into her mouth. She also breathed heavily onto the baby with whatever is in her mouth!!

The tiger was hungrily pacing back and forth in front of the feed opening gate. Where’s dinner, where’ dinner…

The polar bears were lazily sleeping away. They are big big big, huge huge huge animal. But they don’t do much. The most excitement during the course was watching them waking up, stretched here, changed a position, stretched there, changed a position, couldn’t decide what he/she wanted to do, got up, sat back down, etc. Yes, sounds like someone I know …. Let me think, who could that me…

The pigs, very stingy pigs, wild looking. The birds, lots of them, waiting to be fed. I guess this is the zoo, all they can do is sleep, play, and wait to be fed!!!

On the return to the entrance, we finally figured out we can use the skyride cable car with our tickets. Ok, they are not one of the most advance technologies available. Since we didn’t take any picture of “us”, we better fit one in, with our “horrid” facial expression, as we sat in the cable car coming down. Tom “thinks” he is afraid of height. Me, not a problem in that area. Going under water, now that is entirely different story…
