Tom and Val went for a round of golf on Saturday morning at the Lost Canyon Golf Club. We met up for a late lunch. The golf course was all the way up in Simi Valley, near Carolyn’s family.
When I arrived, Carolyn and Brady were already there. According to Val, Tom was able to hold the baby for a while. Brady is about 6 months old now. I asked Val if Tom “knows” how to hold the baby. They said Tom did real well with the baby. Wow, I always kind of wonder.
Further down the conversation, I asked how they split diaper duty with Brady. Tom and I had this discussion long time ago. He said he should do once so he can claim he knows how to do it. Then it is off to mama land, or in his mind, the maid’s hands.
Brady was very well behaved. Of course, he was interested in everything. He smiled a lot, and of course made us laugh too. He started to teeth, so anything is up for grab. When I hold him, he was very interested in my fingers, ready to stick them in his mouth. And when Tom was closed by, he did the same thing, wouldn’t let go of Tom’s finger while mommy’s one is already in his mouth. Yes, I think Tom enjoyed that game too.
The next day, while sitting in front of the TV, Tom was busy away on the youtube, finding laughing baby video to show me. One of them reminded me when Caden was small. He can basically laugh based on demand. When Brenda said “laugh”, he would “laugh” or some kind of loud “chuckle”.
Brady definitely made a good impression. I think Tom probably felt a bit more at ease with kiddies, or at least good social behaving babies…
…Thinking…maybe he is hinting to me he is ready….or am I making too much out of this???….
