2010 SoCal Shophop Day 2: OC

We put 7 stores on the agenda today. Yes, very hopeful, but guess what, way over estimated on our shopping capabilities.

Scrapbook Heaven (Facebook link): The Little Mermaid – Very nice staff/owner here. They had freshly baked chocolate chips cookies and bottled water to welcome customers. You couldn’t beat that!!! Love their make n’ take page.

Pinecone Paper Arts Warehouse (& Blog): Hocus Pocus – We had the most fun here. The movie was fun, and who didn’t like Halloween? I even signed up for the kit of the month, love love love Graphic 45 papers. And Vanessa signed up for their own original designed Halloween paper kit Hocus Pocus, plus buying at least another one. We stayed here quite a while. And the double make n’ take pages are awesome!

Scrapbook Garden: The Princess Bride – Wow, this place was so disappointing. Nothing was ready, and the make n’ take was ugly, no brain cell was wasted here for sure. Got the stamp, didn’t bother to buy anything and walked out.

Once Upon a Memory: ?? I couldn’t recall the movie theme here. But the service is so so. You had to meet the buying minimum down to the last penny or you wouldn’t get the charm. With this kind of altitude, I was not very impressive by it at all. At other stores, hey, it’s a local business. If you want customers to return again, I would suggest be a bit easy on those hard rules….The store was very nice and well stock, too bad for the “WILL NOT BEND the RULES” idea. After all, this is a fun industry, not reporting to the FCC as in a publicly trade company! Oh, we were very hungry by then, so my patience was definitely lacking to deal with this.
