We had another team meeting dinner tonight. This time it was hosted at Michael’s on Naples. Naples is a section of town in Long Beach, built on three separate islands, divided by canals which open into the Alamito bay. Most of the streets on the island have Italianate names. The center of Naples features a large fountain which serves as a popular meeting spot.
We ordered a bunch of starters to share among all eight of us. I think my favorite was Polipo alla Griglia, Grilled octopus with roasted potatoes, lemon preserve infused olive oil. For main I had Capesante con Risotto, Pan seared prosciutto wrapped diver sea scallops, corn risotto, crispy pea tendrils. It was good, but a bit too salty. The fried pea tendrils were a nice surprise.
Consider I took this picture via my BB phone and in dusk, it wasn't bad at all.
