Royal Resorts

While impatiently waiting for news from the hubby and the luggage track, I joined up with the Chows to have a bit of a break. Hey, this was supposed to be my vacation, even though I was too stressful to do much else, really not good…

I went over to see the kids and had a splash or two with them in the pool there. The ocean water was clear and blue, but it was no kiddies’ pool. Since Aunty Joanna doesn’t swim without a floatie, the pool was a much safer bet!

Both resort rooms layout were the same, except for the furnishing. The Royal Islander was pale color, while the Royal Sands was more tropical. It was also the newer one. The pool was nicer too. The weather was Houston hot with a balmy freeze which eventually became higher wind breezeway later in the week.

The sands were fine and white. I found out later it was restored from somewhere else after a hurricane a few years back. But the water is still true turquoise blue. Afternoon was reserved for siesta. The Chows asked me to stay with them until Tom showed up, but after so much stress already, I didn’t mind a bit of lone time…
