The Carolina Inn

Jenn and I had our annual trip this year at Chapel Hill, NC. I could honestly said I had never been to this state, …., I think. After a while, I couldn’t tell you one way or another.

She got a deal at the Carolina Inn from Luxury Link, our favorite travel auction spot for fabulous locations and packages. The Carolina Inn is a historical marker here, a southern charm, in a college town. I love the fact that this wouldn’t be something I picked, but it should be; well, I normally opt for bigger cities! I love good surprises!

Yes, I flew across the nation, figured it was my turn this year. I arrived late, with the flights and time zone changes, so I barely caught the last light of the town before settling in for the evening. From what I could see, it was lovely. I started to feel the chill in the air. But mostly, we chatted a lot, and of course, took a lot of snapshots, and planned out our weekend. Ok, I wouldn’t call planning, as I really didn’t do much research. That is the best part, isn’t it? No planning.

We were a bit naughty after dinner and sneaked in a Krispy Kreme donut...I know, I know, but we were on vacation!
