This morning, our first stop is at the Scotty’s Castle. Personally, it is just a big house, but it is the story behind the building made it COOL. But after looking at the interior and understood the amenities built during that time, lots of the designs were in advance of its period. I would love that kitchen.
The story between two very unlike individuals and their friendship is very interesting, especially when it was narrated by a ranger with a Living History period clothing. Everyone should do the tour. You can read up on the history here.
Tom’s left foot was hurting so we didn’t go up the hill to see Scotty’s tomb.
At the guest house wing, there is a built in organ. The ranger turned it on for us to hear. Very cool.
