Yes, that would be my dear Tom. Yes, he just barely beat the deadline for being a non-bachelor at 50. To celebrate this getting wiser occasion, I gave him a few choices. One of the choices is going to
Disneyland. I think it is a great opportunity to celebrate the “becoming of age” with some childhood memories. Of course, he told me he hasn’t been in Disneyland for at least 30 years!!!
I, on the other hand, have little nephews and niece, so my last visit was probably within the last 5 years. Anyway, this is a good timing to see the Christmas décor they put up too.
Oh why not? We are just going to be kids again, at least for a day!

That was the decision last week, before he got sick from the biking trip in Vegas. Now, he has been off work since Monday. Of course, the Disneyland idea has to postpone until he gets better. Instead, I booked him for a nice deep massage today. It should help him with the cold and muscle aches. Then we just had a low key dinner at home. I made shrimp with pasta. This was very tasty + very very easy!!! Heat up some extra virgin oil, throw in some dry Italian seasoning, let it warm up in the pan a bit. Sauté the shrimp, add some garlic or onion salt, some red pepper

flakes; when the shrimp is half way cooked through, add some butter, then some vodka, and squeeze some Meyer’s lemon. In couple minutes, the shrimp and the sauce are done, mix in the pasta and serve. I added some butternut squash (which I started roasting in the oven for about 40 minutes prior to this). Wow, I can surprise myself too.
Dessert is his birthday cake, chocolate cookie crumble cake. It is more like a mousse cake. No, I didn’t make it. It is from a bakery called
85 Degree. Check out these really cute candles by
Papyrus. So adorable!!!
