Since the beginning of wedding planning, I knew that I wasn’t able to invite everyone I know to
our wedding. It has been on my to-do list for a while; I would end up sending a wedding announcement to these friends after the fact.
According to what I have read when it comes to wedding etiquettes, if you have a small wedding or tons of extended family, friends, or colleagues, announcements let people who weren't invited know you made it official. Some people view announcements as a gift solicitation, but that's not the case: A wedding announcement is like a newspaper announcement that's directed at specific group of people.
It was a difficult choice, but I end up choosing one with me in the white wedding gown to include on the announcement. I used the remaining printed wedding programs. I also added a Christmas quote, so this would serve as both a wedding announcement and a Christmas greeting card. Yes, I run out of time, this season is compressing quickly on me. Two in one!!! Some had gone out last few days. The remaining will be sent out tomorrow. The international ones got priority first due to long distance travel. Of course, Tom has no idea what I am working on each night. I, on the other hand, have to make about 25 of these goodies to get in the mail. I am already excluding the colleagues. I have been one busy body on wrapping up the loose ends.
My newly acquired husband came with three sets of in-laws, Christmas goodies must include them! We got them some Kona coffee while we were in Hawaii. Oh, and this part you are going to laugh. A few years back, when I was in Hawaii with Jenn, we went to Sam’s warehouse and got us this huge bag of pure Maui raw cane sugar. We had to split the 5lb bag between the two of us. I only used it for sweetening, rather than for baking. At last, two weeks ago, I finished using my share of the 5lb sugar.

So this time when I was in Oahu, I was happy to find it at Costco and loaded myself up again. Trust me; Tom’s eyes were rolling when I went through the cash register with that bag. He was wondering how we were going to bring it back. I assured him that I left plenty of space in my suitcase!!! My thinking is the Maui sugar would go really well with the Kona Coffee, wouldn’t you think so!!! I also picked up some caramel corn with chocolate Brenda claims to be really really good. So that is the pressies for the in-law. Well, I doubt Tom ever sent anything in the past. This will be a good surprise for them. That is assuming they are not reading this now.
