Such a beautiful bridal shower! Diane and Janine did a wonderful job. The shower was held at the patio of the
Blue Coral restaurant in Newport Beach. This restaurant has been on my to-try list for a while. I even considered it for my birthday dinner with the out-of-town girlfriends back in April. It looked like Janine opened the patio section just for Diane's bridal shower. Oh it is so great to have the insider connection!!! I love the circular sitting area out at the patio, with what looks like a blue glass covered firepit. The color decor of the restaurant happens to match perfectly with Diane's color of her wedding, chocolate brown & ocean blue.

I think there may be 15 of us or so. The event started with champagne. Then plates after plates of delicious hor'dourves and sushi were wonderfully presented and served by the attentive staffs. I think the hor'dourves were: jumbo sear scallops with rosemary, mango & avocado served on fried taro chips, proscuitto with alcohol soaked melon, and shrimp bruschetta. As for the sushi, we had rainbow rows, tuna rows, and what looked like firecracker rolls. And at the end, one of the most beautiful individual cake as dessert! They resembled Tiffany boxes. The inside was a vanilla white cake with a smear of jam filling. So yummy.

The games were fun to play. The first one was a game of unscramble wedding related words. Of course, Barbie was the winner. The second one was a drawing of what each of us think Diane would look like on her wedding date. The challenge is to draw this out by putting a clipboard on top of your own head, so you draw without looking at the paper. There were some good ones there. The last game is to guess how well does Diane know Jim! Ok, we won't go there....haha. There were definitely lots of good laughs from the games. I am looking forward to the actual wedding. I am sure it is going to be beautiful, just like the bride!
