I just had my first doctor appointment and ultrasound. As of yesterday, the baby is 6 weeks 4 days old, estimating labor date to be May 3, 2009. I am not as far along as everyone initially thought. It is about 1/4 of an inch tall right now. The nurse heard the heart rate, which is good. This is a bit early for the tummy x-ray, but since I will be out of town for the next 2 weeks, the doctor wants to check on it first. It is good I didn't go in any earlier; the nurse said they would be very much concern not hearing a heart rate. So with the heart beat, they can confirm it is vital. They also pull blood work on me today.
So lots of material to read, I will be back to the doctor in a month.
