The Tux

Yesterday, I dragged Tom to get his tuxedo. It is on his to-do list. But sometimes, it helps to motivate him a bit. It is a lot of work when he doesn’t normally dress up. He does not need to wear a tie to work, so putting a tux on is a big deal.

Fortunately, we found a very helpful shop 5 minutes from his place. They only do suits and tuxedo rental and sales. And they seem to know what they are doing. Tom tried on probably 5+ jackets before we found the right one.

Then there are the white shirt, the vest, the tie, and the shoes. Gosh, it isn’t that much easier than looking for a wedding gown. When it comes to suit and tuxedo, I would say Tom is in the VERY conservative arena. Anything other than black is unthinkable and unacceptable. I was at least able to get him to do a texture black vest. But I made no progress on the tie. It is black, black, and black!!!

He did indulge me in putting on a black/silver vest and tie. I so want to send these pictures to the best man to get a second opinion!!!
