Makeup Trials

Of course, the bride has to look good. But do you know what a woman must go through to get to that point???

I am quickly running out of time. Brenda gave me a reference for bridal makeup & hair. It was at a Vietnamese wedding place. So I made the appointment to have a trial on Friday. It took about an hour. At $100 later (half price since this was a trial), I went to Brenda's workplace to show her. One thing is true about my sister, she would tell you how she feels, no beating around the bushes in our family, ok, maybe except for mom and the in-laws. The bottom line is she didn't like the makeup. She thought it was way too heavy and it made me look older. Did I like it? Well, it was definitely put together nicely. I did think it may be a bit heavy for day time wedding. It was more like a glamorous shot. It was also the first time I ever put a pair of fake lashes on me. They did make my eyes look so very pretty. And can you see the sparkles??? Anyway, I thought I would share a picture of me in those fake eyelashes.

We quickly had to locate another makeup artist. I want to stay with Asian artists, as I believe they probably would have more experience with our skin tone and hair. This time, I found a Korean salon. There is no discount on trial here. On Saturday, I went for another trial. I decided that the hair is going to be fine. Instead, we focused on the makeup. Another $185 later, this time, Brenda finally approved. The look was definitely more natural than the first one. It also made my skin looks smooth. I do wonder how long with it stay?? I suppose by 7pm or so, when everyone is done eating, and it is dark outside and inside, it wouldn’t matter!!!
