Wedding Printings & Misc.

I tallied up the final guest list. We now have a total of 65. We originally planned for 50 guests, not including us. Oh well, that is a 25% deviation. I was surprised with how many who actually planned to attend, that is a 80% show rate!!! Of course, now we need to figure out the sitting chart and table arrangement. This also determines the printing requirement for the wedding programs, menus, and place cards.

I did the printing and put Tom to work. I needed him to help out with folding the wedding programs. And then I embellished them, all 70 of each individually handmade program & menu!!! Even I have to say they look so pretty!!!!

I found out what the table number holders look like from La Venta. I was not impressed at all!!! They look pretty beat up; it is a 5x7 frame, in silver or gold with a script font of the number in black and white. Not really fitting here!!! So I added one more creative project for me to do. Honestly, how difficult is it to design something nicer??? I found these white vinyl frames from Ikea on sales for $1.99 each. I used my left over materials from the invitations as background. I printed some black & white number as mask, painted some white glue over the brocade transparency, sprinkled black glitters on it, shaked off the excessive, and let it dried out. Walla!!! Here is one beautiful table number finished!!! All in all, about half hour to do this whole thing for eight tables. They look so pretty, I can use it for home decor afterward if I want to. But for those of you that are reading this blog, you are welcome to take it home with you at the end of the night if you like!!!

Next I work on the greeting card receiving box. Tom asked me what is the box for? I said this is for the wedding cards we may be getting. “Oh, are we getting cards?” That was his question, very clueless, isn’t he??? I bought this felt-like paper from Australia quite a while back. Of course, I had no idea what I was planning to use the paper for when I purchased it. But I love the pattern and its monotone color. Now, it serves a very good purpose. Anyway, I had so much fun decorating the box!!! I don’t know if we will get any cards, but I certainly will feel bad if I have to rip the box apart to get to the cards.
