We needed a date before October became too crazy at work. For whatever reason, both Tom and I were going to have an extreme month of October at work. He even worked the weekends at times. And I will be on the road most of the month due to my project up in WA going into deployment phase.
Nothing fancy, just a nice dinner and a movie. The movie, District 9, was unexpectedly good. I couldn’t even recall the last time we went to see a movie in the theater. Life has been way too hectic lately.
As for the dinner, we went to Ryozanpaku at the Rolling Hill Plaza. It’s a Japanese Izakaya type of restaurant, basically small dishes to go with a beer or a sake. I am not into either one, so the typical Japanese green tea was all I had.
It was fun doing a bit of this and that. Some dishes were great, and others were just ok. But hey, if you don’t try, you wouldn’t ever know! We both loved the grill meat, lots of marble in the meat made it so so so tasty. I wouldn’t mine going back again.
