Day 3, another slow day start, guessed we were on vacation!!! And no, we didn’t need to do everything under the sun, something about vacationing near home, what’s the hurry
Carmel is as beautiful as I remembered it to be. Love the old home converted shops dotting the tree lined streets. It is like a children storybook setting…I do wonder how well of business are the shops doing??? Rent must not be cheap; yet, I couldn’t see myself buying anything there. Or perhaps I had accumulated enough stash of any kind at home where, unless an item is extraordinary, it just couldn’t get my attention. Sad, very sad.
A few things did get my attention, no, didn’t bring them home
(1) Fine H2O, water tasting shop – like wine tasting, but with water. I personally can taste the difference among choices. I didn’t go in this shop, figured I couldn’t justify paying $$$ for water, no matter how delicious it might be…. From our everyday neighborhood grocery stores, I do love the Smartwater.
(2) Look at those Shoes!!! I think even Carrie from Sex and the City 2 would approve this collection.
(3) Loving the Moroccan/Middle Eastern/Indian lanterns – love the colors, the mystics. Thinking of hanging these in my patio, setting up an exotic niche (instead of Tom’s idea of setting up a ping pong table!)
At the end of the down sloping streets is another white sand beach, lots of doggies here….
