After a week of hard work, we flew out of Australia via Singapore, where we made a weekend stop before heading home. I have not seen my girlfriends for a few years, I figure why not take advantage of the free stopover.
We stayed at the Conrad Centennial Singapore, a rather convenient location for the short weekend stay. I missed Singapore. I missed the food and my friends. And I had forgotten the humidity!!! The hotel room is nicely air conditioned to combat that thickness out there. Here is my welcome gift and the view from my room.
After settling in, when the sun started to set, we strode out to the marina bay to take a peek at the new Marina Bay Sands across the pound. Of course, one of my colleagues had never been to Singapore, so it was his first time seeing the Merlion.
We found our dining place at the Palm Beach Seafood for Chili crab and Merlion fish. I had been craving for chili crab, but I remembered it to be better than that….must be my own too high anticipation.
