This was not on our agenda list. We were driving toward Stovepipe Wells from the sand dunes and spotted a sign. And we saw this dust trails from a vehicle far off toward the mountain. Curiosity took over and decided to see why would this vehicle was driving off to no where. I was so glad we did. We found the trail head to the Mosaic Canyon in an easy 1/4 mile walk. The fault from the canyon created this winding passage through rock walls composed of smooth, water-polished marble. Wow and wow, I felt like a little kid in a maze playground, never knowing what you would discover around the next corner.
