This may be one of the last commuter flights I take between SEA-TAC and Bellingham.
Horizon Air recently cut down on the number of flights between the two cities, making the connecting time even longer than the standard two hours. It wasn’t worth the long drive before as the time saved (between driving and flying) is minimal. But now that the connection time is almost 3 hours long, I would do better if I drove from Seattle instead.
I have been enjoying these low flying flights with Puget Sound underneath our feet (when the short 20 minutes flight is in good condition weather). I even know which side of the airplane to sit on the way up and on the way back to Seattle. As the season changed and the sun set sooner than before, here is a glimpse of the islands from miles above sea level.
