Where’s the fish in Cancun?

We took a day off from ruining around the Yucatan peninsula. Tom decided he should make an attempt to fish in the Mexican water. The wind started to pick up toward this part of the week, knowing my own condition; I opted to not go with him on this outing.

He left rather early in the morning, as with all his other fishing trips. I figured I would just have a quiet day in the resort. I didn’t want to do much but just read a book, surfed the net, looked at the water and the people; basically, resort-bumming while waiting for the hubby to bring back his fish hunt.

He finally made it back in the afternoon, all pale and sick from the water outing. The wind was too high and the weather was not good for boating. He got seasick! I was so glad I didn’t go, as I wasn’t sure how I would survive it...

Regardless, he did catch a fish, pretty decent size. I couldn’t recall the name of the fish now. Ok, this is my honey, being just by himself for way too long this lifetime. He had the locals clean the fish but he only wanted one side of the fish filleted because it was just going to be the two of us….ah….what about the family that came with us on this trip??? He figured just one side is more than enough for the two of us!!! And I already invited the Chows over for this pending fish dinner…good thing that the weather was too warm and humid for any of us to be consuming our normal portion. The one side filleted fish was sufficient for us. Of course, mom was wondering about the fish head and tail. She wanted those body parts. To her, they were better than the fish body itself!
